I'm looking for a cost effective radiant panel. I am interested in SmartTrac, but I can find no one who has actually installed it. I am wondering about the heat transfer properties in light of the absence of an aluminum covering. Has anyone actually used this before? Zone 5 house with about 4,500 square feet above grade. Many windows. Floor coverings all.5 inch engineered wood or tile. If I read the spec sheet right, average water temp will be about 30 degrees higher to produce 3O Btu/s/ft, than much more expensive competitor. Don't know if this is something I should be concerned about either. Any thoughts or input much appreciated.

You would want to have a heat loss calculation by a competent tech. We at Pexheat do these for free. Just fill out a form on our website. We use the Watts Radiant Works software and will know what will be the most appropriate products and methods to heat your zones.
