G'day. I'm looking at retrofitting hydronic to my existing wooden floors and am looking for the best solution. I live in Tasmania, Australia and we typically have about 6 weeks a year of 0 degrees (or less) Celsius per year in the mornings with about 10C during the days in winter.
I've been looking at either the 1/2" Onix or 1/2" PEX Al with Flexplate or 3/8" Onix with Flexplate. The system is about the best efficiency and performance as the electricity for house heating has doubled in the past 5yrs. Cost is not an factor as I can afford either installation.
Looking at a total of 120m2 or 13 squares (9' x 9') of surface area at 18" joist centres. Crawl space under the floor is between 2' and 4'.
Cheers and thanks for your thoughts in advance.
Rayner.
